Metis leader Louis Riel said, "My people will sleep for a hundred years, and when they awake it will be the artists who give them their spirit back." This cape, informed by the structure and cultural significance of a tipi, our floral beadwork, buffalo, and the law of Wahkohtowin, is one step toward getting my own spirit back.
